Types of Visa

There are the following types of visas depending on the length of stay and the purpose: business, tourist, transit and permanent residence visa.

Number of Entries

Single entry visa – entitles you to enter and leave Russia once.

Double entry visa – entitles you to enter and leave Russia twice.

Multiple entry visa – entitles you to enter and leave Russia multiple times (more than twice). EU citizens included in the Agreement may stay in the Russian Federation territory for 90 days in total out of every 180 days.   

If you intend to stay in the Russian Federation for more than 3 months, you should apply for a student or labour visa (depending on the purpose of your stay) or apply for a long-term residence permit in Russia.
